How it works

Drops Of An Ocean turns writing from a solitary act into a current. Here is the full journey a story takes.

1. Gather the drops

Create a room around a topic or join an existing one. Public rooms are open to anyone; private rooms use a six-character room code. Room owners can cap the number of collaborators.

2. Brainstorm in the open

Every member drops ideas into the room's idea wall. Others like and comment, so the strongest directions rise before a single paragraph is written.

3. Write the shared draft

The room has one living document. Anyone in the room can write and edit it, with a live word count and the name of whoever saved last.

4. Keep every version

Saving a revision snapshots the draft. Browse the history to see how the story evolved and restore an earlier version at any time.

5. Talk while you write

Room chat sits beside the draft for quick decisions about voice, structure and who takes the next section.

6. Publish to the shelf

When the room is ready, the owner publishes the story to Explore with a cover, tags and credit for every collaborator.
